MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Springdale Fire Department is to preserve life and property by maintaining a corps of professional, properly trained and fully equipped personnel capable of providing fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services to those in need.

HISTORY

The Springdale Fire Department has been providing emergency services to the residents of Springdale for over 60 years.

Founded in 1939, the department originally had an all volunteer roster. Staffing is achieved through a combination of full time and part time firefighter paramedics and firefighter EMT’s in the station at all times. Full time members work on a 24 hour on duty 48 hours off duty rotation. The Springdale Fire Department holds an ISO Rating of 2.

Our FIRE and EMS units are staffed as follows:

  • ENGINE 90: (3-4) Firefighter
  • TOWER 90: (3-4) Firefighters
  • Medic 90: (2) Firefighter/Paramedics
  • District 90: Shift Supervisor
  • Our other two EMS Units (Medic 290 & Medic 390) are staffed by on-duty personnel as needed.
